The first weekend of the new season threw up little surprise, as the early favourites all recorded opening-day victories.
Iruña travelled to Estella, and recorded a 3-1 win over Izarra, while Peña Sport had a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Txantrea. Huarte put five goals past Idoya, conceding one, and Lourdes strolled through an easy 4-1 victory against Cirbonero in Tudela.
New boys Mendi won 2-0 against the team which followed them up, Azagresa, while Aoiz lost 4-2 at home to Aluvion. Ardoi and San Juan shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, as did Mutilvera and Tudelano.
Lagunak scored two in the first ten minutes away to Murchante, and held on for a 2-1 win. Valle de Egues had a comfortable 3-0 away victory over Oberena.
