CD Oberena lost 3-0 in Tafalla on Sunday, to a very organised and competent Pena Sport.

The league leaders were helped when Oberena were reduced to ten men in the 37th minute, Jauregui being the man who was shown the red card. Despite this, Oberena continued to make a game of it, and it was a credit to their play that they kept Pena to scoring only twice in the second half.

CD Oberena 4-1 Avance Ezcabarte

First Win for the Green-and-White's

Oberena recorded their first league win of the season on Saturday, 16th Sept, with a fine 4-1 win over new-boys Avance.

The team from Arre took a shock 1-0 lead in the 6th minute through Arizkun, but Oberena hit back strongly, and strikes by Jaurrieta, (20th) and Dani (31st) put them 2-1 up at the interval.

Second-half goals from Borda in the 61st and 64th minutes secured all three points for Oberena, a victory which now places them in ninth place in the league, with four points.

The next opponents will be table-toppers Pena Sport, in Tafalla.

Oberena failed to get on the score sheet today, 10th September, losing 1-0 to CD Mutilvera in Mutilva Baja.

For the second week in succession, the men from Irunea could not score, and now sit just off the foot of the table with one point. This weekend, the green-and-whites host bottom club Avance Ezcabarte, and will be hoping to improve their standing.

CD Oberena 0-0 CD Murchante

Oberena kicked off season 2006-07 with a 0-0 home draw against CD Murchante this afternoon.

In an entertaining game, in front of approx 200 supporters, including two visiting Scottish fans, neither side had the upper hand, until the last fifteen minutes when Oberena threatened twice to score.

Oberena: Montoro, Merino, Gozalo, Gil, Capell (Garriz 40th), Sergio Varea (Jaurrieta 55th), Santos, Lopez, Remacha, Jauregui, Ruiz (Moler 71st).

The club, from the Navarran city of Pamplona, play in the Tercera (3rd) Division, Group XV of the Spanish Football Federation.
