A disappointing start to the league season for Oberena today, when they crashed to a 3-0 defeat at home to Valle de Egues.
Having already lost 4-0 to the men from Sarriguren, in the Copa Navarra semi-final, Oberena started well, but could not turn any scoring chances into goals.
With the scores level at half-time, both teams reappeared after the break looking for the opener. In the 57th minute, Egues scored through Arcaya, and six minutes later they added a second when Oberena captain, Ruben Gil scored an own goal. Aranguren sealed the victory with nineteen minutes left on the clock.
The manguiverdes now have a week to prepare for the difficult trip to Paternain, to face Iruña next week.
